COVID-19 Protocol

COVID-19 NOTICE FROM VIEWMONT AUDIOLOGY

PLEASE READ FOR INSTRUCTIONS:

Update: April 27, 2020    Under recommendation and guidelines of the American Academy of Audiology we remain closed to non-essential patient contact.  Five weeks ago we suspended all non-essential and non-emergency patient contact so as not to risk spreading the COVID-19 virus.  We remain open utilizing parking lot service to provide care for your essential needs and to service any problems that arise with your hearing aids. Daily office hours will vary as we are operating with reduced hours. Staff is present to take your calls, answer questions, and assist you with problems.

If you have a sudden change in your hearing, ear pain, or dizziness you should contact your physician. You may also call us so that we can assess your condition and determine if you fall into an essential or emergency category and give you further guidance.

Phones will be answered daily although attended hours may vary. You may leave a voicemail message and we will return your call no later than the next business day.

Patients with scheduled appointments will be contacted by our staff prior to the appointment to reschedule or discuss service or care options.

Patients who have malfunctioning hearing aids, problems, or scheduled routine checks for hearing aid cleaning may utilize our parking lot service. You must first call us to arrange a time. You may then come to our office parking lot, call us from your cell phone, and a gloved and masked staff member will come to your car and pick up your hearing aids. We will assess, adjust, clean, or service the devices and return them to you – without you having to leave your car. You may also utilize this service to pick up repaired hearing instruments, get batteries, filters, or supplies.  However, you must call us beforehand to arrange a time. Times and office hours will vary to accommodate patient schedules. Generally, we have morning hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and afternoon hours on Tuesday and Thursday.

Scheduled evaluations, hearing aid fittings, speech mapping or rehabilitation appointments will be rescheduled as soon as we are cleared to reopen. Always call if you have a problem that is an emergency or essential health care issue.

Thank you for your patience as we will all get through this disruption together!
